<I have been teaching English for over 25 years. I have taught English in Richmond City, Chesterfield County, and Hanover County, Virginia. My experience covers all grades from 8-12. I have been an adjunct instructor for over twelve years at the college level as well. My focus as a teacher is on helping students build solid critical thinking and writing skills as well as helping reluctant readers discover what they will enjoy reading. Outside of school, I am an artist, budding amateur actress, and mother to two new baby kittens. My human son is in his twenties and living on his own. I am still relatively new to Colonial Beach, so I am enjoying exploring all that it has to offer. I look forward to being an active part of this charming community. >
